AGC is extremely pleased to announce that judgment in the City of Huntington Park's favor was entered in a lawsuit alleging that the City wrongfully terminated the employment of a former police officer.

In defending the case, Senior Partner Sharon Medellin focused the City's defense on Plaintiff's failure to exhaust administrative remedies afforded to him by the City.  Plaintiff admitted during his deposition that he did not file an appeal of the decision to terminate his employment with the City's Civil Service Commission, a prerequisite to filing a lawsuit relating to the termination under California law.  Consequently, Ms. Medellin filed a Motion for Summary Judgment seeking dismissal of Plaintiff's Complaint. The Court agreed with her legal arguments and granted the Motion for Summary Judgment.
