Eric Salbert is a Senior Associate with Alvarez-Glasman & Colvin and is a member of the firm's litigation practice group. He represents municipal entities in various civil litigation matters, including lawsuits involving civil rights claims, property damage actions, eminent domain and inverse condemnation matters, CEQA and NEPA actions, and various other tort claims in both state and federal court.
Mr. Salbert possesses significant experience with the California Tort Claims Act, including issues associated with private party compliance with claims procedures and the statutory grounds for bringing lawsuits against governmental entities, including compliance with applicable statutes of limitations. He also has significant experience in construction litigation matters involving compliance with CEQA and NEPA regulations. Additionally, Mr. Salbert handles civil writs and appeals.
Prior to joining Alvarez-Glasman & Colvin, Mr. Salbert was a senior associate at a boutique business litigation firm in Irvine, where he gained substantial experience in general business litigation, including contract disputes, anti-SLAPP matters, business torts, real estate disputes, and property tax matters. Mr. Salbert has also handled multiple elder abuse actions and trust litigation cases. He has previously represented clients in a variety of environmental matters involving both state and federal statutes and regulations, as well as common law causes of action for continuing and permanent nuisance, trespass and interference with easement.
Mr. Salbert received his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he served as Literary Citations Editor for the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and the Law. For his undergraduate studies, he attended Belmont University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Music Business, graduating magna cum laude.
