Christy Garcia is a Partner at Alvarez-Glasman & Colvin, specializing in public agency law, civil litigation, and business litigation, including real estate and contract disputes. Her work includes representing municipalities and public agencies in regulatory matters and complex litigation, where she offers strategic legal counsel and practical solutions. Ms. Garcia’s experience spans both transactional and litigation, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the legal challenges facing public agencies and private clients alike. Before joining the firm, Ms. Garcia handled a wide range of civil litigation cases, building her expertise in drafting legal strategies and representing clients in court. 

Ms. Garcia served as an editor for the Los Angeles Public Interest Law Journal and was actively involved in the Labor and Employment Law Society.

While attending law school, Ms. Garcia clerked for a private labor and employment firm, as well as the Public Law Center, where she assisted low-income residents with dissolution, guardianship, and domestic violence cases. She has also held an active California Real Estate Broker’s License since 2012, which further enhances her ability to navigate legal matters related to land use and real estate. Ms. Garcia has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star for four consecutive years (2021-2024) and has been nominated for the 2025 award.

Fluent in Spanish and holding a California Real Estate Broker’s License, Ms. Garcia is equipped to address the needs of a diverse client base. Her practice is rooted in providing thoughtful, effective legal solutions to AGC’s clients.
